STAGE 2

Inspired by the work of Tokihiro Sato, using similar exposure techniques as in the first stage, I have created trails of light which flow through a forest scene. Unlike stage 1, the background in these photographs is visible like in Sato's work. To do this, I used an ISO of 100 and a shutter speed of up to 30 seconds.

10 seconds

For my developments, I worked in the darkroom and used two different pieces of string to create swirls which look similar to the trails of light shown within my photos. I exposed them to light for 10 seconds.
